When Self Shoot fits
Choose Self Shoot when you already know the vibe you want, or you are willing to invent it as you go. Friends can take turns with the remote. Couples can retry the same pose until it feels right. Shy or introverted guests often prefer an enclosed room with no stranger holding the camera.

When a photographer is the better pick
Book a photographer with confidence when you want someone else holding the creative load: cake smash mess, birthday props, a wriggly toddler, or a formal graduation family frame. Photographer files take longer because they need editing; timing is on the FAQ.
Couples, families, first studio visit
Couples: Self Shoot suits pairs who like directing each other. Photographer suits pairs who want someone calling angles so neither person has to produce the session.
Families: Self Shoot works when one adult is willing to hold the remote and keep the group moving. Photographer helps when kids need prompting and adults want to stay in the frame.
First studio visit: awkwardness is normal. Self Shoot gives you retries without performing for a corridor queue. Photographer gives you a voice in the room telling you where to stand. Neither choice means you failed at the other format.
