About Self Shoot
What is M Selfie Studio?
A private portrait studio on Jalan Puchong (Old Klang Road), Kuala Lumpur. Book Self Shoot if you want to run the camera yourself with a timer remote, or a photographer package if you want staff to take the shots. Pets can come if you add them when you book.
How does a Self Shoot session work?
Book online and arrive about 10 minutes early for check-in only (not for makeup or preparation). The room is yours for the package photoshoot session; lighting is already set, and you shoot with a timer remote while watching the monitor. Backdrop colour or theme can change if the package allows. Many packages include prints you pick before you leave. Self Shoot files usually go out the same day via AirDrop or Google Drive. What is Self Shoot vs Photographer?
If you book Self Shoot, you use our camera, monitor, and remote. If you book Photographer, a staff member guides poses and takes the photos.
Is this a mall self photo booth?

Before booking
How much does a session cost?
Live prices and inclusions are on Packages and in the booking wizard. Packages change, so we don't quote a fixed number in chat. See https://www.mselfiestudio.com/packages
How many people can join a package?
Package pax is the maximum number of people in the session. A 1–6 pax package means you can come alone or with up to 6 people total. Everyone who participates has to be covered by that tier; you can't rotate extras on a smaller package.
Do kids count toward pax?
Children under 3 years are free and do not count toward pax, except cake smash packages where everyone in the session counts.
Are pets allowed at M Selfie Studio?
Yes. We are pet-friendly and welcome small to medium-sized pets that can be safely carried or handled. Select the Pet add-on when you book (up to 5 pets). Bring a stroller or carrier until the shoot starts, keep a diaper on, and keep pets supervised. For more than 5 pets or a larger pet-focused shoot, contact us before booking — Whole Studio / Studio Rental may be more suitable. Damage or extra cleaning beyond normal studio cleaning may be charged.
Is there an additional charge for bringing pets?
Yes. Pet sessions use the Pet add-on and the price shown during booking. Additional cleaning, repair or replacement charges may also apply if pets cause excessive soiling, contamination, damage or other cleaning requirements beyond normal studio cleaning.
Can I bring more than 5 pets?
The standard Pet add-on supports up to 5 pets per booking. For larger pet groups, please contact us before booking. We may recommend Whole Studio / Studio Rental depending on the size and nature of the shoot. Larger pet requests are subject to advance confirmation.
Are large pets allowed?
Our studio generally accommodates small to medium-sized pets that can be safely carried or handled. Larger animals may require a different studio arrangement or may not be suitable for the premises. Please contact us in advance before booking a session involving a large pet/animal.
Can I bring a large group?
Our packages have different people limits, so please make sure the number of adults and children attending matches the package you select. For groups of 4 or more people, larger setups, or unusual requirements, please provide the actual numbers when booking and contact us in advance where appropriate. Depending on the setup, Whole Studio / Studio Rental may be more suitable.
Can I bring my own photographer?
Studio Rental is the appropriate option when you need to bring your own photographer or production team. Self Shoot and photographer packages use our studio setup and staff photographer options as listed on each package. Tell us about crew size and equipment when you book Studio Rental.
Can I use the studio for a commercial or specialised photoshoot?
Please contact us in advance for commercial, production, specialised or unusual shoots. Tell us about the expected group size, pets/animals, equipment, props, crew and general setup so we can confirm that the studio and booking are suitable.
Can I use the studio for boudoir or adult photography?
No. M Selfie Studio does not permit pornographic, sexually explicit, boudoir, erotic, fetish-focused, BDSM, nude/topless/bottomless or sexual-service photography or filming. The studio may only be used for lawful and appropriate activities consistent with our studio policies and the shared studio environment.
Can I use the studio for any type of photoshoot?
No. The studio is intended for lawful, appropriate photography, content creation and production activities that comply with our studio policies. Commercial, specialised, production or unusual shoots should be disclosed in advance. We may refuse or stop a shoot that does not comply with our policies, building rules, safety requirements or applicable law.
How do I choose a selfie or self photo studio in KL?
Check whether the session is a booked studio slot (not a corridor booth), how many people the package covers, what sets and backdrops are available, whether pets or a photographer option are supported, and what is included. Getting here
Where are you located?
Level 3, above MyNEWS, Tiara Mutiara 2, 141 Jalan Puchong (Old Klang Road), 58200 Kuala Lumpur. Stairs and lift are on the right of MyNEWS. From the basement carpark, take the carpark lift; it comes out at our back entrance. Wheelchair friendly. Grab to “M Selfie Studio”.
Where can I park?
Front-row shoplot parking in front of the building (DBKL, if a bay is free), or the underground paid carpark. Underground is about RM2 for the first hour, then about RM1/hour; rates can change.
What are your opening hours?
Hours are in the website footer and on the booking calendar. Holidays can differ, so check the day you want before you travel.
What time should I arrive?
Your booked time is your photoshoot time — the actual studio shooting session, not a preparation window. Arrive about 10 minutes early for check-in only; early arrival does not give you extra time for makeup, changing, or getting ready. There's a 5-minute grace period; after that the shoot is shortened with no discount. 15+ minutes late can count as a no-show. Plan your own travel; we can't extend for traffic. The session still ends at the booked end time, and on busy days we can't run into the next customer's slot.
Can I adjust the camera or studio lights myself?
No. Customers must not touch, operate, move, or adjust the camera, lens, studio lights, stands, or other photography equipment. If you need a different camera angle, lighting setup, or equipment position, please ask our staff. We are happy to assist. For Self Shoot sessions, use the provided timer remote — do not touch the camera or lens. Please do not touch or clean the camera lens. Oils, fingerprints, makeup, dust, or other contamination can affect image quality. If customer handling causes equipment to become dirty, damaged, misaligned, or otherwise requires cleaning, repair, or replacement, applicable charges may be imposed.
Can I walk in without booking?
We prefer you don't walk in. Call or WhatsApp first. If there's a gap between bookings that day we might take you, but that isn't something we can promise.
Payment & booking policies
How do I pay?
Bank transfer: choose 50% deposit or pay in full at checkout, then upload the receipt on the website (My Bookings). That holds the slot until we approve or cancel. If online FPX, card, or e-wallet is on, it is full payment for instant confirmation. Makeup packages can be held first with no payment until we confirm the artist. At the studio: QR and cash for add-ons; QR or bank transfer for any remaining balance after a deposit. No card on site. New bookings still need upfront payment online to confirm the slot.
How do I cancel or reschedule?
Use My Bookings (login with mobile OTP). Same-day or inside the cancellation window: no refund. One free online reschedule; after that it's staff discretion. Prefer the website over WhatsApp for changes.
What happens if I damage or soil studio equipment or property?
Customers may be responsible for reasonable cleaning, repair, replacement, restoration, or other applicable charges caused by their actions. This applies even if the contact was accidental or you believed it was minor. Examples include: camera or lens contamination, damaged backdrop paper, damaged props, damaged furniture, and damaged lights or equipment. Props, furniture, and backdrops: use only as intended. Do not deliberately move, damage, misuse, or alter studio property unless our staff permits it.
After your session
When do I get my photos?
Self Shoot: typically same day. Photographer: usually 1–3+ days, longer in peak season. Digitals via AirDrop or a Google Drive link emailed to you; download Drive folders within 30 days before they are removed. Prints: pick favourites after the session for staff to edit and print.
