A little preparation is enough for your first self-shoot. You do not need a long shot list or experience with a studio camera. The useful decisions are who is coming, which backdrop you like and how much time you want.
Before you book
Count everyone attending, including anyone who will only appear in a few photos. Choose a package that covers the whole group. Children under three do not count towards the people limit except in cake smash packages, where everyone counts.
Look through the studio photos and check the matching package. Some spaces are enclosed, while Studio C is an open area. Prices, session times and prints vary by backdrop and package.
What to bring
Come in the outfit you want photographed. A lint roller, comb and a small bag for your belongings can be useful. If you want a second outfit, choose one you can change into easily; changes use your booked time.
Save a few pose references on your phone. Start with the photo you most want, whether that is everyone together or a portrait of each person. You can try other ideas once you are comfortable with the remote.
For pets, large props, cakes or an unusual request, contact us before booking so we can check the arrangements.
Arrival and the session
Arrive about ten minutes early for check-in. Early arrival does not provide extra room time for makeup, changing or setting up props. Allow travel time to reach Level 3 at Tiara Mutiara 2.
Our team explains the remote and setup. Leave the camera, lighting and stands where they are; ask for help if you need an adjustment. The appointment end time remains fixed if you arrive late.
Before leaving
Check how your digital photos will be delivered and choose the prints included in your package. Self-shoot files are usually available the same day. Keep a copy of the download link and save your photos within the download window.
